The cost of living varies, according to where in the UK you decide to study and your lifestyle. London and other big cities are more expensive than other areas. The estimated annual living costs are between £7,624 and £9,665.
Accommodation costs in the UK are more expensive in major cities such as London, Manchester and Birmingham. As a guide, a room in a shared house will cost between £200-£700 a month. When you sign up for a particular college or university, you will need to indicate that you will require accommodation, generally as an international student you will be given priority over other students.
STUDYING IN UK
IMMIGRATION & VISA IN UK
Under the Student Visitor Visa, a student cannot have paid employment or an internship greater than 2 credit hours, and cannot extend their stay once they have arrived. If you plan to stay in the UK for more than 6 months, if you may extend beyond 6 months, or if you want to work or have an internship greater than 2 credit hours - then you need to apply for a Student Visa/Prior Entry Clearance. European Union citizens are permitted to study a degree in the UK.
For non-EU students, exist the Student Visitor Visa (less than 6 months) and the Student Visa/Prior Entry Clearance (greater than 6 months), the student will need to demonstrate proof of funding to cover a undergraduate course and living costs, a confirmation of acceptance to study (CAS) reference from a university with sponsor status and adequate English language skills. If you plan to stay in the UK for more than 6 months, if you may extend beyond 6 months, or if you want to work or have an internship greater than 2 credit hours - then you need to apply for a Student Visa/Prior Entry Clearance.
