VETASSESS is streamlining their application process

VETASSESS is aiming to streamline their application process, and it has announced changes from 23 April 2024.

Key Changes:

  1. Applicants are now required to submit their documentation for an initial review as part of the application lodging process today. It is only after they have been deemed “assessment ready” that they will be informed to pay the assessment fee. This will ensure that they are both clear and prepared before any financial commitment is made.

  1. Reopening of Trade Occupations – Following a pause, new applications for Cooks, Diesel Motor Mechanics, and Motor Mechanics will resume.

  1. Submission of Video Evidence – Applicants will now be required to submit videos that demonstrate their skills, which will replace the requirement for photographic evidence unless it is specifically requested in the past.

  1. The Australian Industry Standards Online Assessment is a course that can be taken online to learn about and evaluate one’s knowledge of relevant Australian industry standards.

  1. The applicant’s trade knowledge and skills will be evaluated in depth through a technical interview, which can be conducted either in-person or online.
