Worth a read if you advise on student visas &#8211; the Migration (Visas that Preclude a Person from Lodging a Student Visa Application in Australia) Instrument 2026. LIN 26\/068.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It starts tomorrow, 25 September.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no transition period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The affected visas are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Subclass 403, Domestic Worker (Diplomatic or Consular) only<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subclass 485, Temporary Graduate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subclass 600, Visitor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subclass 601, ETA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subclass 602, Medical Treatment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subclass 651, eVisitor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subclass 771, Transit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subclass 988, Maritime Crew<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subclass 995, Diplomatic (Temporary), primary holder only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>What to expect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clients on a visitor visa, ETA or eVisitor must lodge any new applications offshore.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Temporary Graduate holders are on the list too, in any stream.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No extensions to student, partner or work visas while in Australia for those visas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It is practical to check the VEVO conditions of all visas if you have not been doing so.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>#AustralianImmigration #StudentVisa #MigrationAgents #MARA #InternationalEducation #VisaPolicy<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new instrument was registered today.
