However Up to 56% of current visa holders either worked outside their field of study (35%) or were unemployed (21%), which puts these groups at risk of financial stress and vulnerability.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12751\" src=\"https:\/\/educli.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/1111.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"929\" height=\"439\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.educli.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/1111.png 929w, https:\/\/www.educli.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/1111-600x284.png 600w, https:\/\/www.educli.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/1111-300x142.png 300w, https:\/\/www.educli.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/1111-768x363.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 929px) 100vw, 929px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Australian government data shows occupations such as \u201csales assistants and salespersons\u201d as well and \u201ccleaners and laundry workers\u201d are in the top three for 485 visa holders across all occupations.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12752\" src=\"https:\/\/educli.com\/resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/2222-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"920\" height=\"756\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Many international graduates identified a number of benefits to the 485 visa though. Some saw the visa as a way to buy time in Australia to enhance their English language proficiency, acquire different forms of work experience and develop professional and social networks.<br \/>\nIn other cases, international graduates were able to repay their study loans while working in jobs unrelated to their field of study.<br \/>\nWorking in odd jobs also helped some international graduates improve their communication and soft skills.
