Education Legislation Amendment (Integrity and Other Measures) Bill 2025 – Senate Debate

The Government has listed the Education Legislation Amendment Bill 2025 for debate in the Senate today, even though it is still before the Senate Education & Employment Legislation Committee.

It’s unusual and clearly signals high legislative priority. It is clear that the Government intends to fast-track the Bill and push it through before the end of the sitting period.

Why now?
Because once the Bill is passed, the Government can move quickly with the new integrity settings, including visa assessment priorities and provider-risk frameworks.

If you have submissions or papers to be considered, now is the time to lodge them.

Watch this space – the Senate session will be significant for the international education sector.
