Important Alert for Visa Applicants – AFP requirements update
We’ve noted that the Department of Home Affairs is now requesting proof of application for police checks, including an official AFP receipt or confirmation of application, when lodging character or clearance documents.
While this requirement has not been formally introduced through legislation, it appears to be a new procedural measure in response to a rise in fraudulent evidence submissions.
Applicants and agents are encouraged to retain and submit the AFP confirmation email or receipt when applying for a visa to avoid potential delays or compliance issues. And make sure that you use code #33 !
Stay diligent – submit relevant evidence to prevent major processing delays or refusal.
Feel free to share this post with anyone in your network who might be applying for a visa, better safe than sorry!
