Student Support Services
Student support services are located at all City Institute’s campus’. StudentĀ support services are accessible during normal business hours and help students to adjust to study and life in Australia. Our services also help you to achieve satisfactory course progress. Student support services provide information about:
- Legal Services
- Emergency and health services
- Facilities and resources
- Complaints and appeals processes
- Any other student inquiries relating to course progress and/or attendance
Student Support Officer
City Institute has a Student Support Officer who assists students free of charge when experiencing difficulties. The Student Support Officer’s duties include:
- Overseeing views and rights of students
- Supporting students in hardship regarding studies, accommodation, work and safety
- Maintaining an up-to-date bank of information relating to welfare, financial, housing, legal or health professionals
- Moderate students complaints with the College (should the need arise)
Student Orientation
Orientation is conducted prior to course commencement. The purpose of the orientation is to fully inform new students of the aspects of college life and provide an introduction to rules and regulations concerning studying at the City Institute and further information about living in Australia.
