As part of this commitment, your sponsor is required to disclose criminal convictions they have had and/or charges awaiting legal action. They must also give the department permission to disclose any or all of their convictions to you as the visa applicant. In the following questions, details of the relationship between the applicant and sponsor must beprovided and should form the basis of the applicant's claim that their relationship with their sponsor isgenuine and continuing. The information provided also needs to be supported by relevant evidence.This evidence may be such things as photographs, receipts, bills, legal documents or anything elseto demonstrate the nature of the relationship the applicant has with their sponsor. This evidence canbe uploaded after the submission of this application.

The applicants declare that they:Will inform the Department if the relationship between the applicant and sponsor breaks down orends in divorce.Authorise the Australian Government to make enquiries necessary to determine their eligibility forpermanent stay in Australia, and to use any information collected for that purpose. Information maybe obtained from the following:• Federal, state or territory government agencies• Federal, state or territory law enforcement agencies• State or territory housing authorities (including private landlords)• Local government authorities• Financial institutions
• Educational institutions• Private business (including telecommunication and internet service providers, insurancecompanies)• Any other relevant business or agenciesGive consent to the collection of their fingerprints and facial image if required.Give consent to Australian law enforcement agencies disclosing the applicant's biometric,biographical and criminal record information to the Department to help identify the applicant, todetermine eligibility for grant of a visa and for law enforcement purposes.Give consent to the Department using the applicant's biometric, biographical and criminal recordinformation obtained for the purposes of the Migration Act 1958 or the Citizenship Act 2007.Understand that, if granted the visa:• There is a two-year wait for social security payments, including unemployment benefits, for mostnewly arrived migrants• The applicants will need to have enough money, even if unemployed, to support themselves forthe first two years and if they run out of money or fail to get a job in that period, that would not besufficient reason to make them eligible for social security income support payments• The cost of living in Australia, compared to many other countries, is high• Approval to migrate does not guarantee employment in Australia and that it is entirely their ownresponsibility to secure employment after arrival, including investigating their prospects beforearrival in Australia• Work availability varies significantly from time to time in different parts of Australia and that formany jobs in Australia, applicants must be eligible for membership of a professional or industryorganisation and/or be able to be registered or licensed with an Australian state authority beforeworking in a particular occupation
