Celtic English Academy is located in the centre of Cardiff, the Capital city of Wales. Celtic is accredited by the British Council and is a member of English UK. We offer all levels of English and our classes have a maximum of just 10 students. Each student gets close attention from the teacher and makes friends easily. We offer flexible courses of between 15 and 30 hours of English per week.

A range of quality courses
Students can choose from a variety of courses including, General English, IELTS Examination Preparation, Cambridge Exam Preparation Courses, One-to-One classes, Ladies-only Classes,Travel and Tourism, English and Culture and Business English. We need to see you face-to-face to find out your level of English, so please come to see us when you arrive in Cardiff. We also run Internship Programme, Teaching Development Course and the Global Competence Certificate.

(English Courses) Afternoon General English 15

The Afternoon General English course offers all the benefits of studying in small classes at a quality English school, but at a much lower price. It is also aimed at students who are unable to attend the morning classes whilst still offering a full-time General English course.
The course is for learners who wish to improve their use of everyday English. It is designed to meet the needs of learners in a variety of English language situations.
The course follows an integrated skills programme and covers the areas of; reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, acquisition of new vocabulary and phonological awareness. The course book will be provided by Celtic. General English has four course options: 15, 21, 24 or 30 hours per week, as well as Afternoon General English for 15 or 21 hours per week, depending upon the schedule and intensity of study the student wishes to undertake.

The course follows an integrated skills programme and covers the areas of reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, acquisition of new vocabulary and phonological awareness. General English has four course options: 15, 21 or 30 hours per week, as well as Afternoon General English for 15 or 21 hours per week, depending upon the schedule and intensity of study the student wishes to undertake.
Students who initially enrol on the General English course may later progress to an examination preparation course, such as IELTS, BULATS or a Cambridge Exam course (FCE or CAE).

(English Courses) General English 30 (Bildungsurlaub)

General English is a course for learners who wish to improve their use of everyday English. The course is designed to meet the needs of learners in a variety of English language settings and aims to bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world.
The course follows an integrated skills programme and covers the areas of reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, acquisition of new vocabulary and phonological awareness. General English has four course options: 20, 28, 32 or 40 lessons per week, as well as Afternoon General English for 20 or 28 lessons per week, depending upon the schedule and intensity of study the student wishes to undertake.
Students who initially enrol on the General English course may later progress to an examination preparation course, such as IELTS.
Please note that this is an intensive course of English. Classes are from 08:45 - 12:00 and 14:15 - 17:30 (Monday to Friday).
